Our Transition Program teaches our children, 15 and older, important life skills including job training, interview skills, budgeting, public transportation, and much more. Through this program, they prepare a resume, apply for a position with JPLA, and sit through an interview with their potential supervisor. Once they've obtained a 'job', they work 5-10 hours a week and receive their pay on a monthly basis. With this money, they learn to tithe, shop for their own personal items, save, and pay for fun outings. They learn vital budgeting skills, as well as how to manage their time between school, home, and work.
